July 2025 Since 1956, Ramiro has been in business starting as a small local restaurant eventually evolving into a Lisbon institution known for their fresh seafood. This restaurant is relatively easy to find located near the Intendente Station on the Metro Green Line. The building is large with two floors of seating both inside and out. While it is somewhat touristy, many locals enjoy the consistent level of quality seafood options. With the exception of Iberian ham and various cheeses for starters, desserts, and a beef tenderloin sandwich, seafood is the name of the game with 23 different varieties to choose from including many varieties not available in the US. It may be a tad intimidating when you first read the menu but the servers are very helpful and will keep you from embarrassing yourself! For a late lunch, we ordered the barnacles, garlic shrimp, tiger prawns, langoustine, spider crab and the bread and butter which was perfect for sopping up all the wonderful seafood juices! Now that we understand what and how much to order, we look forward to another visit.
